May 10th is our scheduled last field trip of the school year! We'll be heading out to Glacier Creek Preserve in Bennington. It's 424 acres of rolling hills and tallgrass prairie that's maintained by UNO. It's an ideal spot for observing nature.
We have a reservation at 10:00am (until 2:00pm). Bring a picnic lunch if you wish. We will have a tour of the grounds and educational activities that they offer, and then be free to explore the public access portions of the prairie as we choose.
Visitor Use Guidlines are here, and a general overview of the visit and offerings can be found here.

Family Night & Business Fair
Our Saviour’s Baptist Church, 20230 Hopper Street, Elkhorn NE
Friday, May 17, 6:00pm-8:00pm
Come see what our kids have been up to! Some of our scholars have been studying and have begun businesses of their own. Other vendors (mostly young) will be joining us, to make a special evening opportunity. Come prepared to find some great deals!
If your children have a product or service they wish to sell, please contact us to reserve a table. Each business will be provided with a 6 foot table and a chair. If you need anything specific, such as electricity, please let us know. More than one person/business may share a table, if you wish. Businesses will be responsible for their own set up and clean up, and for any requirements pertaining to their business. Be sure to bring money for change, and help your children understand that they need to stay with their business and sell their items. Parents may assist, but the business owners need to do the work and stick with it. The exception to this is the early shopping. Kids may go around and preview and purchase from other tables from 5:30-6:00, while parents watch their tables and sell for them, if they wish. Parents, you may also have a table if you wish to have items or services out, as well.
There is no cost for this event. It will be fairly easy going, but will be a success to our kids and help them learn if you they put their own work into their business. Please invite your families and friends!
